It took me 30 years working with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and the government to learn three things that leveraged my effectiveness and satisfaction at work. It won’t take you that long to learn these lessons. You will learn them right now. It’s up to you to use them.

My experience actually began mowing lawns, pulling weeds, and shoveling driveways. So you get a bonus tip: do the work when no one is looking. You only hurt yourself when you skimp on effort and try to cheat the system.
